Next Artbar Tuesday 15th September, Tom Trevor, Artistic Director Dojima Biennale, Japan (and former Director of Arnolfini) discusses his work as a curator of international projects.

Tom Trevor, Artistic Director of the current 4th Dojima River Biennale in Japan talks about this in the context of his work as a curator of international projects. Trevor is a curator and writer, based in Bristol. He is currently Artistic Director of the 4th Dojima River Biennale, Take Me To The River, in Osaka, Japan, as well as Guest Curator of Music for Museums at the Whitechapel Gallery, London, and Curator of the 1st ARoS Triennale for Aarhus 2017, European Capital of Culture, in Denmark. Other projects in 2015 include commissions by Do Ho Suh for Bristol Museum and by John Akomfrah for All the World’s Futures at the Venice Biennale. 

Recent exhibitions include Black Sun at the Devi Art Foundation, Delhi, and Joelle Tuerlinckx’ Wo(r)(l)d in Progress? at Arnolfini, Bristol (in collaboration with Wiels, Brussels, and Haus der Kunst, Munich). 

He was formerly Director of Arnolfini (2005-13), Associate Curator of the Art Fund International collection (2007-12) and Director of Spacex (1999-2005), in the UK.
